In accordance with the Transport Department’s invitation requirements, Uber has completed and submitted the relevant application form and required documents.

Uber has long been committed to providing Hong Kong residents with safe and reliable trip experience, and has built deep partnerships with the local taxi industry. Drawing on its global operational experience and local track record, Uber will work closely with the Government to implement the regulatory requirements.

Estyn Chung, GM of Uber Taiwan, HK and Macau said “We fully support the Government in establishing a clear and formal regime. Uber will continue to work closely with the authorities throughout the application process. We look forward to delivering a convenient and reliable experience to Hong Kong within the new regulatory framework.
