Julie Bishop to share leadership tips and business nous with Brisbanites

  • Written by belle PR

One of Australia’s most recognised and respected politicians, the Honourable Julie Bishop will share unique and intimate insights into business and leadership when she takes to the stage in Brisbane next month as keynote speaker at the 2020 Club Plus Super AHG Breakfast.

Ms Bishop served as the Federal Member for the West Australian seat of Curtin for 20 years, but did you know that she also made Australian history not once, but twice? She was Australia’s first female Foreign Minister, representing our nation’s interest on the world stage for five years. She was also the first female Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party in its 75-year history, a position she held from 2007 until 2018.

Since retiring from parliament last year, Ms Bishop has dedicated more time to pursuing her passions in other areas. She is the Chancellor of Australian National University, chair of the Telethon Kid’s Institute and a member of a number of international advisory boards dedicated to affecting positive change all over the world.

A true trailblazer, Ms Bishop has a background in law (serving as Managing Partner at Clayton Utz in Perth prior to entering politics) and has been the West Coast Eagles AFL Club’s Number 1 ticket holder and a past board member.

One of Australia’s most recognised and respected politicians, both at home and abroad, to say Ms Bishop has had a compelling career in politics, law and diplomacy thus far is an understatement.

“I’m looking forward to visiting Brisbane to share some leadership insights with the Club Plus Super AHG Breakfast crowd,” Ms Bishop said.

“We live in times of great change, which brings challenge and opportunity. Clear leadership will be necessary to ensure the interests of Australians are promoted.”

The Club Plus Super AHG Breakfast will be held on Thursday, March 19, from 7.30-9.30am, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre’s Plaza Ballroom.

The breakfast is part of the annual 2020 MAX Australasian Hospitality and Gaming Expo (AHG Expo) – one of the biggest events of its kind in the country, bringing the latest and greatest in hospitality and gaming products and services to Brisbane on March 18-19. With year-on-year growth, the 2019 event set a bold record for visitor attendance and the 2020 event is shaping up to be even brighter!

Tickets to see Julie Bishop at the 2020 Club Plus Super AHG Breakfast, including a gourmet breakfast and drinks, are on sale now via www.ahgexpo.com
